Our plan was to meet up with a historic walking tour. The city map took us across the river Liffey (Iffy, as Dad jokingly called it) and to the entrance of Trinity College. Arriving early as usual, we walked around the grounds a bit and watched a man mowing the greenest grass I’ve ever seen with a strange-looking mower. Trinity College is also where the Book of Kells is located; this gloriously illuminated manuscript from the Dark Ages was on my list to see. I never got there…
